The International Energy Agency predicts a global energy transition that will unlock significant opportunities, driving technological advancements and economic growth across various sectors. All countries areurged to seize these opportunities by formulating tailored industrial strategies based on their strengths.

Developing countries can capitalize on this transition to foster their own development. However, their reliance on external technology and investment for renewable energy (RE) often complicates balancing economic growth with emission reduction.

China stands out among developing nations with substantial growth in RE and related industries over the past two decades. Its experience offers valuable insights into achieving economic development alongside emission control. In 2021, China committed to actively promoting green and low-carbonenergy development globally, providing hope for other developing countries' energy transitions.

As part of PACS BRI Direction towards Green Energy (BRIDGE) Program, this project aims to assist host countries in assessing their energy needs and resources, evaluating China's overseas investments in RE, and offering recommendations for collaborative efforts in green energy.

This report builds on the "Transition Towards Green and Low-carbon Energy 2022" and sets the stage for ongoing assessments and future outlooks in the series.
